Picture book / Pictures of yourself / Taken by yourself / A short time ago . . .

I have to do this self-portrait project for an art class I'm taking. I'm supposed to take a bunch of photos of myself, make a collage out of 'em, then draw the whole damn thing. After fooling around with the camera all day, I'm beginning to suspect that I'll be wearing Depends before I finish this project.

Ever tried taking a picture of yourself? Well, don't, because it's damn near impossible and you'll waste half your damn day.

Besides that, you'll wind up looking like a sociopath.

My favorite is the one of you behind "bars". That "ax murderer" pose rocks. It rocks bigtime.

Thanks, Brainsy.

Glad the cheese/fruit platter was a hit, BTW.

It is a bad idea to take pictures of yourseld, I have tried, jut because I am a bit vain, thought I would enjoy looking at myself, turns out I looked more like a desperate old man seeking attention, deleted them, The first pic has that jodie foster look in silence of the lambs, the econd has a flare of alfred hitchcock, very intriqing, the last well I hope they let you out soon, and hope your not in jail for life, good luck on your project

the jodie foster resemblence is definitely there in the first one. i like silhouhettes, so the 2nd one is very striking. the 3rd one is very moody and it appears you are about to say "where ARE those children of the damned!??"

I think the pix are kinda cool.

Nice Kinks paraphrase, Storchy. I wonder if Ray Davies would approve of your project--he used to write some cranky, sarcastic lyrics about photography ("People take pictures of each other . . . just to prove that they really existed")

Once again, Ray and I are on the same page.

speaking of taking pictures. i remember a funny line from "mystery train". the female japanese tourists asks her boyfriend "why are you taking photos of the hotel room?" he replied "i'll be able to remember graceland, the river and sun studios. i will not be able to remember the hotel."

A little late, but I really like that first one - the extreme close up. Very cool.

I hope you the exams went well & that you & the hub are enjoying some time off!
